For any vegans missing the days before a trip to the chippy involved more than a large portion of chips, we have good news for you.
And for non-vegans looking to eat healthier or reduce their environmental impact, we have good news for you too...
London's very first all-vegan chippy has just recently opened! After great success trialing banana blossom vegan 'fish' during Veganuary, Sutton and Sons decided their now-signature dish deserved its own chippy.
Also called Sutton and Sons, the chippy - identifiable by the 'Vegan Chip Shop' neon sign outside - can be located in Hackney, just down the road from the infamous vegan fried chicken shop Temple of Hackney.
The menu looks promising, including ‘prawn’ cocktails, ‘fish’ cakes, ‘chicken’ burgers, ‘fish’ burgers, and of course the popular traditional fried 'fish' made with banana blossom. The traditional dish costs £5.50, which you can add chunky chips to for another £2.
